More About Rosehill College

Rosehill College began 40 years ago and is still looking after the young people of Papakura district.

There have been four Principals since the college began. Our current Principal is Mr Macann who is currently spending a year helping other schools. Our Acting Principal is Mrs Blakely who has previously held several important positions in the school.

Our school motto is "Personal Excellence" - which means trying your hardest at everything we do, in and out of the classroom.

Rosehill College has agreed upon 'values'. These are things ways of behaving that are very important to us. Here are some of them:

RESPECT - This means that each person at Rosehill College should think of others around them and only do what is good for others. It means that we cannot be selfish and only do what is best for ourselves.

ACTIVE LEARNING - This means that each student at Rosehill College must chase learning - not wait for it to come to them. It also means that each student must become an expert in their own learning.

INTEGRITY - This means doing the 'right thing', even if is hard for us to do it. This value includes ideas like 'Honesty', and "Reliability'

A STUDENT'S VIEWPOINT        Hi. My name is Bronwyn and I go to Rosehill College. Since I have started at Rosehill College I have liked the subjects and also the friendly service in the library and gym. The gym has a timetable up on the wall to see what you can do. The library service is really good too because if you need help to find a book you can either look it up on the computer in the library or you can get help from the librarian.

The other things I like about Rosehill College are the teachers because they encourage us to do the work that they have set for us to do. They really want us to to do well in all out subjects. I also like the sports that school wants students to take part in.

The other thing I like about Rosehill College is the service that you get from the Front Office.
